Bio & Rationale
Brigid Holt keeps the funk alive. The Brisbane-based artist works in an expressive, mosaic-like language – bold blocks of colour, rhythmic forms, bodies abstracted into confident shapes. Shapes + Shit, the exhibition that birthed our label art, was a permission slip to play: a rejection of over-polish in favour of joy, movement, and bodily confidence. It’s art that asks viewers to see themselves differently – freed from ego, tuned to colour and form.
For our Hazy Hemp IIIPA, we wanted the label to hum at the same frequency as the beer – big, hazy, and a little cheeky. Brigid’s piece lands that balance: vibrant yet grounded, expressive yet precise. Put simply, it pours like a party and looks like one too. That’s the Aether sweet spot – serious craft with room to dance.
