Bio & Rationale
‘Beach Vibes’ by Karen Lynch is a spiralling collage of retro beach culture, pop art energy, and sun-soaked nostalgia. A kinetic sky radiates above vintage cars, palm trees, and colourful figures, pulling the viewer into an endless Australian summer. The piece celebrates coastal joy and surreal transformation, where every detail feels both familiar and dreamlike. It’s bold, vibrant, and perfectly matched to Aether’s West Coast IPA – a beer that’s equally bright, refreshing, and full of character.
Karen, who works under the brand Leaf and Petal Design, is a South Australian artist specialising in digital and hand-cut collages. Her influences range from vintage photography and mid-century advertising to Surrealism and architecture. She has created artwork for over 40 music albums, with clients including Universal, Sony, and Warner Music, and was nominated for an ARIA Award for Best Cover Art for Bernard Fanning’s “Civil Dusk”. Her art has been exhibited globally, from Italy to Canada, while her commercial collaborations span fashion, tourism, and editorial projects.
For Aether, Karen’s fusion of old and new was a natural fit. ‘Beach Vibes’ isn’t just a visual for a label – it’s a mood, a memory, and an invitation to enjoy the moment. Like our West Coast IPA, it celebrates summer, playfulness, and the thrill of something both classic and reimagined.
