Introducing Limited Release 178, our Black XPA! With this brew, we’ve thrown rules out the window and balanced a smooth Dark Ale with a supremely juicy XPA. Intensely hop-forward with aromas of citrus, pear, melon and passionfruit, the juiciness is perfectly wrapped together with chocolatey biscuit flavours from the malt. Pouring dark black with a copper tint around the edges, this marvel is only lightly bittered and stays smooth to the finish. Dive into the depths of this Black XPA; it’s not just a drink, it’s a symphony for the senses!

Sam Mulhern is the artist behind MechanicalPen! Sam has always been obsessed with the heavy inks and intricate line art of comics and manga, and over the last decade has been honing his style. He re-imagines pop culture characters, usually with a dark or creepy twist, and creates prints, stickers, keychains, and dioramas from these black and white line art pieces. Previously an engineer and now full time artist, Sam gets to spend his time creating the creepy art he loves and travelling around Australia for to share it with people.
