Junkyard Giant Barrel-Aged Red Rye IIPA is more than a beer; it’s a story. It began what seems like ages ago, when the brew team laid a few beers to rest in barrel. Over the months, they meticulously sampled every barrel, tasting, blending, and playing around. When they found a delicious cross between an 8-month Rye Ale and a 14-month Barleywine, the team knew they hit copper-hued gold.
Junkyard Giant is a big beer that delivers a giant flavour. All hops on the front, the blend of Australian and American hops gives an explosion of citrus zest, tropical pineapple, spicy mango and refreshing evergreen pine. Deep, rich malty notes and a smooth oak flavour act to balance the intense juiciness, while a touch of acidity ensures drinkability.
This giant is a whopping 9.3%, but balanced and smooth enough to finish with a gentle touch. Enjoy it cold, enjoy it warm – this Barrel-Aged Red Rye IIPA is a big, gentle and loveable giant for all IPA fans.
