Brewed to celebrate 10 years of Saccharomyces Beer Café & Bottleshop, Sacchberry Double Blackberry Sour takes our cult-favourite Blackberry Sour – fondly remembered as The Witching Hour – and dials everything up.
Pouring deep reddish-purple with a bright, lively edge, it opens with a rush of fresh blackberries, wild berry skins and zesty sour lift. The palate hits hard: jammy berry intensity layered over a clean, acidic snap that lands sharp, bright and dangerously drinkable. Doubling the fruit and lifting the ABV gives it more punch, more depth and more of that juicy, face-puckering character the original built its reputation on.
Despite the power, the finish stays crisp and balanced – berry richness up front, clean acidity through the mid-palate and a satisfyingly tart close that keeps pulling you back in.
