Bio & Rationale
“Made to feel familiar – a cartoon from your childhood you think you remember, but actually don’t.” Sunshine Coast painter Aaron Craig calls his style Pop Mash: a recontextualised stew of cartoons, comics, and packaging that hits the brain like déjà vu. Super-flat colour, razor balance, and nostalgia flipped on its head – that’s the territory. His client list stretches from Disney and Mattel to Sesame Street, with solo shows across Melbourne, Hong Kong, LA, and Taiwan.
We tapped Aaron for our Blackberry Sour because the beer plays the same game – bright, fruit-forward, and a little subversive. His label lands with a sugar-rush of colour, then reveals the sly compositional jokes underneath. It’s fun that respects your intelligence, and craft that knows exactly what it’s doing.
