Amy is a Sydney-based, South African-born illustrator and brand designer with a knack for finding humour in the everyday. She’s drawn to animals, odd details, and the kind of “why not?” ideas that turn into charmingly offbeat images. Her work resists the clean, generic feel of modern design, preferring a looser, hand-drawn style that reconnects people to personality and imperfection.
Coffee in hand, sketchbooks stacked, and her Frenchie Pippa never far from the desk, Amy works from her home studio to create illustrations that feel equal parts whimsical and grounded. She celebrates the characters hiding in plain sight – a cow in a shower, a dog caught mid-sigh, an object that suddenly takes on a story. Her pieces are funny without being throwaway, personal yet easy to share, always carrying that spark of relatability.
