Drapl & The Zookeeper

Queensland, Australia

Bio & Rationale

‘Bloom’ by Drapl & The Zookeeper captures the vibrancy of Australian flora and birdlife in a way that feels both familiar and celebratory. The artwork depicts peach-coloured winter sunsets, eucalyptus leaves, Corymbia Ficifolia blossoms, and the iconic rainbow lorikeet. Though painted on Brisbane’s southside, the piece features a classic Paddington house from the north – a subtle nod to connection and togetherness across the city. It’s a visual reminder that art, like beer, can bridge communities.

Drapl & The Zookeeper are a renowned Queensland duo whose murals stretch from laneways to regional silos. Over the past decade, they’ve become key voices in Australia’s street art movement, blending large-scale vision with grassroots collaboration. Their work is rooted in the Australian landscape and culture, but it’s also deeply community-driven: they engage with locals, councils, and cultural custodians to ensure each piece resonates with place.

For Aether, ‘Bloom’ was a natural fit for our All Australian Pale Ale. Just as the beer is brewed entirely with Australian ingredients, the mural celebrates the country’s natural beauty and identity. Together, beer and art become parallel celebrations of homegrown creativity – bold, vibrant, and unmistakably ours.
