‘Prickly Pear Field, Sunbury’ by Felicity Marshall transports viewers into a landscape tinged with both memory and timelessness. The scene recalls Felicity’s experiences across desert regions, from Western Australia to Mexico and Texas, bringing together past, present, and future in one expansive visual journey. Based in Anglesea, Victoria, Felicity is a multidisciplinary artist, author, and illustrator with an Honours Degree in Fine Art. Her practice spans painting, children’s book illustration, photography, and film production. Her artworks are represented in collections such as Imago Mundi, and she has exhibited widely in Australia and internationally. Beyond her visual work, Felicity is also a beekeeper and beachcomber – influences that often seep into her storytelling and imagery.
For Aether, Felicity’s cactus-field artwork was paired with our Mexican Lager. Its desert tones and playful surrealism echoed the beer’s spirit: familiar yet unexpected, refreshing yet grounded in tradition. The match was as natural as a desert horizon, blending her love of landscapes with our commitment to flavourful, evocative brewing.
