‘Karen’s iconic brand of digital and hand-cut art collages pair an idyllic retro beach scene with pop art to create the mesmerising ‘Beach Vibes’. She uses a spiralling kinetic sky as pulsing sun-rays and a visualisation of summer vibes radiating across a car meet. Central to Karen’s art is the resuscitation and transformation of pieces of the past into colourful surreal retro-futuristic landscapes. Her fusion of the black and white spiral with the bright border colours, draws you into the scene and extends an invitation to join the party.’

Karen Lynch is an Australian artist who operates until the brand of Leaf and Petal Design. She draws inspiration from vintage photography, Surrealism, architecture, mid-century advertising and the beauty and colours of nature. As well as maintaining her own art practice, Karen works as a freelance artist, illustrating editorial and advertising work for brands, events, and publications.

Her art can be found on the cover of over 40 albums, EPs and singles produced by international and Australian musicians. Among her career highlights is an ARIA nomination for Best Cover Art for Bernard Fanning’s album “Civil Dusk”. Her past clients include Universal Music, Sony Music, Warner Music, Coach New York, Playboy magazine, GQ magazine and the South Australian Tourism Commission. In addition to this, her art has been exhibited in group shows in Italy, France, Norway, Canada and Australia.
