Bio & Rationale
Chloe Ford is a young Brisbane-based graphic designer whose practice balances playful illustration with bold design thinking. Under her brand Inkn Designs, she brings a mix of digital and analogue techniques to her work, often leaning into quirky concepts that are packed with detail and humour. For Chloe, design is a sandbox: a place where colour, words, and unexpected combinations come together to surprise and delight.
Her piece ‘Continual Curiosities’ started with a simple prompt: fill a canvas with objects starting with the letter C. The result was a jam-packed illustration buzzing with energy, negative space completely obliterated by a whirlwind of forms. From cats to cameras, cakes to cacti, it’s a visual scavenger hunt where viewers are invited to keep spotting new details. It reflects Chloe’s knack for turning playful ideas into layered visual experiences.
For Aether, her work was used on our American Pale Ale. The beer itself was CHOCKAS with US hops, bursting with citrus, pine, and flavour – a perfect match for her packed-to-the-brim illustration. Both beer and artwork share an intensity that feels joyful rather than overwhelming, proving that maximalism can be just as fun as minimalism when done with flair.
