‘Have you ever looked at the sky and wondered – what could the clouds be hiding? ‘The Weatherman Didn’t Predict This’ is inspired by an ominous cloud formation Kate saw while walking in the dog park one evening. The black storm clouds appeared to form a huge mysterious shape in the sky, and Kate couldn’t get the image out of their head. The minute Kate got home, they picked up a pen and created this piece.’

Kate Loveday is an illustrator who enjoys creating art with a touch of whimsy and the supernatural, often taking inspiration from nature. They live and study in Perth, and can be found in the artist alleyways of local pop-culture conventions trading under the name Kel Sticks.
