Razorfloyd

‘Razorfloyd’s illustration was inspired by the macabre with a retro twist. It is a paring of gothic horror and the imagery of a 1950’s housewife aesthetic. Depicted in the piece is housewife ‘Ruby Red’, who is not all what she appears to be. The bright colours and cartoonish styling of the piece is a playful juxtaposition of the much darker subject matter.’

Razorfloyd, the self-proclaimed goblin king, is a Brisbane-based freelance illustrator. Their passion is drawing characters and stories with a grunge-meets-retro aesthetic, they love experimenting with styles, strong colours and horror vibes. In their spare time Razorfloyd is currently working on developing a webcomic they hope to release in 2023.

Given that our Raspberry Seltzer pours a ruby red hue – serendipity hit hard, and it seemed obvious to feature ‘Ruby Red’ on the label. The piece is also a nice nod to the darker, gothic style that has featured on our core range to date. Without even meaning to Razor, you gave us the perfect art for this seltzer, thank you!
